EM was excited about going to his local Pride festival. He was particularly looking forward to the music, spending time in the park and, most importantly, seeing his friends.
He took the lead in making the arrangements for the day, even calling his friend’s mum himself to agree where they would meet.
When EM and his friends met at the park, he was happy to see them. They spent the afternoon together, exploring the festival stands, listening to the music and laughing as they took in everything happening around them.
EM also bought his own drinks as they made their way around the festival, choosing what he wanted as they enjoyed the afternoon.

Staff remained nearby but gave EM and his friends the space to spend time together. They were available if EM needed any support, while allowing him to enjoy the festival with his friends without unnecessary interruption.
For EM, it was a simple day out doing something he had been looking forward to, with the people he wanted to spend it with. He had made the arrangements, met his friends and enjoyed the afternoon in his own way.
It was a lovely opportunity for EM to spend time with his friends, be part of his local community and enjoy an afternoon that he had helped plan from the beginning
